Does anyone else shave around/over their ink? Does anyone have any issues with it?
I have tattoos in several areas where I have to shave; chest/collar bones, knee, leg, theigh. Just wondering if shaving effects the quality of the tattoo over time or anything.
I shoulda just sent Sherav a PM cause he’s pretty much the go to guy lol.
I have shaved over my tattoo before, but it felt kind of creepy to do it, so I did it gently. It was alot of hair on it
I don’t know if it’s vise to do it though

I’ve been shaving me leg from the knee down regularly. I’d say about once every 3 days lol.
I usually get irriation on my chest/collar bones area; so I been avoiding shaving.
why do blokes shave their legs ?????
shaving a tattood area is fine, you wont cause any damage to it at all, but remember to put sun block on it if you go out in the sunshine as it will fade the ink…
Hi
The key to shaving on a tattooed area is 2 fold;
1. You have to really get some decent shaving gel so the blade glides. This is so you don’t slice through the skin and risk scarring your tattoo.
The skin cells that are taken off by normal shaving is no worse than shedding normally and as Outlaw says don’t damage the tattoo as long as it is healed.
2. You need plenty of moisturiser and sun block – shaving can dry out the skin, hair is part of body natural defence in keeping skin oiled.
Sun block is a def if you have them on show.
Take Care
