    Hey folks, got a coverup a few weeks ago and while i love most of it, a bit that was hard to cover is not really the best.

    Anyone any ideas what i could do to make this bit look better? It’s the bit at the top in the middle that needs something done as it looks just like a blob.

    Overall nice coverup. I like it.

    Constructive Criticism

    What I would do though is first of all sharpen the shading lines around the stated area and generally throughout the tattoo. (The cabling/bone segments seems little lost at the top of your arm)

    Some of the details are lost in the heavy shade – it is not a big job.

    I would also cap outline the ridges of shading on the left side of the pick near your hand.

    I would then add some white highlights and the tattoo will go from great to excellent.

    As a coverup it looks fine, its near on impossible to tell immediately that it is a cover, give it a few more weeks and let it heal before making any rash desissions.
    I would say that the outlining might have been better to throw some weight in there around the internal claws, and possibly a couple of white highlights…. but wait and see how it heals fully.

    plus remember that you know there is something underneath it, others dont, you can tell if its a bad cover because people say immediately…. wow what was under it before hand ??

    you aint got any problems dude, thats pretty solid and well covered 😉

    Thanks guys, overall i love it it’s just that one bit which i’ve circled in red below. I’m booked in in a couple of weeks for some white highlines. Sherav, i’ll prob take your points up too.

    Oh and here is what’s been covered up, it’s a pretty dam good coverup:

    Hi

    Looking at what the artist had to cover up he or she has done a storming job on it.
    My suggestions are just that and do not take away from the fact it is a great tattoo.

    i like it ! i think the thing with cover up tattoos YOU know whats there so most people always look for it .
    but joe average who doesnt know its a cover up tattoo will know at all . :rolleyes:

    yea, it looks pretty sweet to me, i would def never be able to tell it was a cover up. I guess this thread is pretty much solved and answered, but yea, just keep sheravs comments in mind and i bet it will turn out unbelieveable.
