    Hey there I want to get a mom dad tattoo, as my mam passed away bcuz of a heart attack, Originally I wanted an anatomically correct heart buh went off de idea and like the fake heart with both mom and dad on it, (2 hearts actually sorry).. I have a few queries, Would it be stupid to change it to MAM because i never callled her mom, and secondly any other suggestions on what i could do.. I was also thinking about getting something different on de mom side as she is gone and dad is still alive,, any suggestions please, I’m getting it soon so as much feedback as possible would be absolutely brilliant!!

    will not matter at all that you want Mam instead of mom . and many people get these hearts with mum and dad even when they are still alive :).

    What you may consider, if you are into this type of art, the heart for your mom, you could put a halo and angel wings on it for the symbolism of her passing on, then leave your dads heart without. When his time comes you could always have the halo and wings added then. Just a thought.

    Um well I’m not sure about halo and that, like the idea though, is there anyting subtle that i could add so people if they looked at it would know she has passed and not dad,

    I know people get it when they’re still alive so that’s why i wanted something a bit different … Not majorly different though,, keep suggestions coming, surely one will hit de nail on the head for me lol!:D

    perhaps you could have her banner with MAM, and on either side of that word, the year of birth/death?

    example;

    53 MAM 09

    catch my drift?

    i have a mom tattoo, the traditional heart and banner on my upper arm; i love the idea of sporting my close friendship with her in such a way.

    i think it’s a lovely idea for a memorial, and i like that you’re including your dad as well.

    i’m so sorry for your loss — hope you come up with something for the tattoo.

    How about something like this? I think its beautifull, a little “old school” but it’s nice
