There are big name artist who people know from TV and conventions but putting a top 5 together is so subjective to what everyone thinks is good. There is a guy in Galveston,TX named Chano who does awesome work and he just sits in his shop across the street and tattoos. Then there’s James Clements. I think his work is pretty damn nice.

Bob Tyrell is pretty amazing, Christopher Nguyen (I think that’s how you spell his last name) is awesome as well. If I went through all my tattoo magazines I’d have some more names to add to the list.

I will do it. It is so diffficult to put names in order. And I’m quite new in this so I don’t know many names.
I like to lady (can’t remember name) in London Ink (yes, these well known tv tattoo artists) and especially her Japanese style works. Now I’m also looking for new influences and trust I will find out new names (for me) here as well.
