I was wondering what you think of his work? The reason I ask is because my friend said he will do it for cheaper he is her sisters boyfriend. She said that for what I want the size on my shoulder blade will be 40 or 50. She got a a clover on her wrist and only payed 15 and her friend Amanda got a butterfly on her ankle and payed 20. I asked if he uses clean needles and opens the package in front of you and if he uses gloves and she said yes. She also said he draws everything out so I will see what it will look like before I get tattooed. What do you think? Good or bad idea?

If you went that route, you’d be spending 5 times that amount getting a coverup in a few years …

That is what I thought I kept using the word cartoonish with her I guess I meant unprofessional. This is what her and her friends tattoos look like clover.jpg

Hi

No disrespect to your friend but that work is average and the website did not impress me – wearing a wooly hat whilst tattooing is not hygenic as there is blood mist that can travel which is invisible to the naked eye.

Anyhow whilst cheaper I would advise paying more and going to a pro who specialises in fine detail work.

It is on your skin for life and that is the first and final thought when i get work done.

Take Care
Matthew

I would rather have a small tattoo from a really good artist than a larger piece from a so-so artist.
If you have to live with this for the rest of you life it’s better to get something that at least looks good and you can be proud of.

If you only have $50 to spend I would probably say don’t get any tattoo. Quality tattoos aren’t cheap.

Yeah, go to the scratcher, get Hep C, die a painful death twenty years from now, and STILL have to pay to get the shitty tattoo covered up. Good plan.

Love. Peace. Metallica.

Callie, I know you really, really want a tattoo. AND you are on a single income. BUT, do not, I repeat, DO NOT let price influence your decision. Good luck whatever you decide. But take they others’ advice and find a professional ARTIST. My wife endured the bad tattoo and cover up process. A $400 tatoo took over $2000 to cover up. So saving a few bucks now could bite you in the end.

One othe piece of advice. Buy as many tattoo mags as possible.
1. You can get some great ideas
2. You may read a feature on an artist in your area.

I have a ton. I never throw them away. Im always flipping through them and finding stuff I passed over before. Take your time.

Oh, and one other thing. If you can go to a convention, do it. I loved the one I went to. you can walk around and see all different styles and skill levels. You see folks with great work and folks with mediocre work
