Hey everyone,

I’m going in for my consult in April for a sleeve and I wanted to ask for your help finding reference material. I’m looking for something along the same lines as the little creatures from the movie 9. Little, dark steampunk-ish creatures, preferably made from cloth or some other material as opposed to skin.

I’m going for that dark/spooky look with out going towards totally violent or bloody. I have hit the pavement with google and I’m not done but I have not had much luck. Can you guys and gals suggest a comic, fantasy group, book, magazine, website, etc that I could use for reference?

I looked a bit in deviant art, and can’t find much but it may be better than google.

that is just typing in voodoo dolls in their doll section (didn’t even know they had one) other than that i find that site good for very specific ideas and drawings/ pictures that google doesn’t even know about. Good site for getting ideas, but it can be hit or miss

i didnt find anything very interesting…but if u check google “Tim Burton’s 9” u can find many pictures of the movie, u can always use those as an reference.
(search for the same on http://www.deviantart.com and u find some cool drawings)

try searching stitchpunk instead, thats the subgroup that the 9 stuff is i think. if you end up getting any ink like this post it ide love to see how it turns out
