hi im nic, im 22 and i have cerebal palsy, so i jerk alittle sometimes, ive been getting tattoos from the same artist for 2-3 years now, i have tattoos on my fingers and forearms. (see below). now i want my dream tattoo, a pin-up girl on an old school lowrider trike. i ride trikes to get around. i want it on my shoulder blade so about 6-7 inches, when i went to get a quote he said it cant be done because its so detailed and i move too much. so im looking to see if anyone knows if theres an artist who specializes in handicapped people or if sedation is possible.

Hello and welcome to the forums. How bad are your tics. You might want to check with a md to see if you can get something to calm the nerves. Jerks and tics are usually an over activity of the nerves firing. You may want to find another tattooer also. It looks like you have clean lines on your wolf. So you sat pretty still for that. In any case good luck you’ll get your ink.

If there is some meds that could calm the jerking, that would be your best bet. You could also use restraints, but I don’t know how you feel about being strapped to a table for and hour or two. Some people probably wouldn’t mind.

My boss had a client with severe CP, he used to take valiums before a session which helped a bit, bit he had a prescription anyway. I agree though, ask your Doc.
