Don’t go with a pit bull its a bit of a cliche.
Think of something that is more relevant to yourself.
Search google or Flickr for some ideas.

First of all, Boxing is a dead sport. Its one of those things were 5% of the atheletes are making 95% of the $. Boxing agents and promoters are all criminals and should not be trusted. Boxing would be a good base to get into Mauy Thai or with some Jiu Jitsu training you could transition into MMA. Don’t let yourself become a one dimensional fighter and there will be more oppertunity for you.

A pitbull for a fighter tattoo is an odd thought to me. Why when thinking of fighting do you think of pitbulls, have you ever watched a dog fight? As tough as pit bulls are, they really only fight by instinct. A true fighter will train himself in an art form and work his style over the course of a lifetime. My first thought would be a gladiator or samuri.

On a side note, whats your record? Have you had any pro fights? Where do you train?

How about a fighting gamecock. They fight to the fricken death, they are ruthless. Just kidding……….wait, now that I think about it. That’s a pretty rad idea. Do some homework on japanese style tattooing. It’s full of symbolism. Good luck.

I loved the idea of using the character from “punch out” for the symbolism of being a boxer, but that’s only if you want to go the fun route of it. What instantly popped in my head was have a front shot at a snarling kangaroo in a boxing stance with boxing gloves since Kangaroo’s are always known to fight in that stance.

Maybe you could have two gloves colliding (like Rocky IV) and in the middle of the blast between gloves, you could have your last name being scattered or simply just have a tribute to your last name with boxing gloves being tied together, kind of intertwining the letters of your name held by the strings of the gloves or something.

Many directions you can go with boxing.

EDIT: After loving the kangaroo reference, I went ahead and did some look-see’s to find some images of boxing kangaroo’s, and sure enough this came up, which I think looks absolute badass.

Just to give you an idea where I was coming from.

Unless you are Australian i wouldn’t go with the kangaroo. I understand you can leave the flag out but people would still ask if you were Australian. Maybe do like mural with gloves, a punching bag, speed bag, some boots, and maybe bell or something.

Going on lighter side of it get a portrait of mike Tyson with an ear in his mouth. Or maybe Don King sticking his finger in a socket

Eh, not really, it’s just a different style of symbolizing tieing boxing but I could see the “Australian” connection but that’s hardly the case if you put an American Flag behind it, haha 8) I love the idea of a snarling Kangaroo but I guess you have a point.
