Hi all,

I am a tattoo enthusiast and I think tattooing is a true art form. I really want a tattoo, but I have Cerebral Palsy. With this condition comes a very high startle reflex. Do you think it is possible with a warning to the tattoo artist for me to sit through a tattoo?

I’m no artist but I should think that if the artist is forewarned and preferably if he’s used to working on people with CP, then it shouldn’t be too big of a problem. If his hand rests on your extremities he’ll feel them move and pull away quickly. Can’t say I envy either of you trying though.

I think a lot of it depends on the severity of your cp. I have a coworker who has cp, and had no problems with any of his tats. I bet if you explained your condition to a reputable tattooer, you guys could make it happen. What do you plan on getting and where? Good luck.
