I have a piece going between my chest and stomach on my sternum, and words across my chest and another going from my shoulder, over the clavicle, and up a little on my neck. I started dozing with the one in the middle, and the words..ha i don’t even remember them hurting, and the neck was a little tender. Then again, I am thin and muscular and I thought it would hurt more. Make sure to eat before you start and have a sugary drink to sip on so your body doesn’t get too stressed.

Everytime I’ve got work done on my chestpiece, I’ve forgotten to eat…. so that sucks.
And now he’ll be coloring the whole middle of it…. Can’t wait! the ‘pain’ is kind of interesting, in a weird way.

So, I’ll have some time on my hands now to figure out some options for the heart when the artist is going for a vacation till late november. And my thoughts of coloring is that the heart could be in some different blues, to make it a “royal heart”, instead of red, red, red and blue weins.
What does people think about that?
I guess it depends on the look you are going for, but my first thought when you said a blue colored was was a sad/mourning sort of heart. I sort of subscribe to the ‘picture says a thousand words” philosophy, so I try to see meaning, especially in tattoos. So if I saw a blue heart, I would think that the person was trying to convey some message of sadness or even a dead heart. I hope that doesn’t sway you in the wrong direction, just my initial thought.
Maybe a combination of blues and reds to give it some depth and dimension?
Only one more day left…. even less than one day! Hurr durr, can’t wait.
