Just made my appointment with Horishige to get a traditional hand poked Tebori tattoo in August. He’ll be at a convention near my city for the Roc City Tattoo Expo. I’ve always wanted a traditional Tebori and now I will have one. Has anyone on here ever gotten one? I’d like to know what you thought about the experience.

im getting one this saturday. i hear its pretty unique and you can hear air come out with each poke. i also heard that colors come out more vibrant. i will let you know.

havent gotten one but this older guy i work with traveled to like thailand or some crazy shit and has two full sleevs of hand poked (tebori) tattoos and looks insane. ive metioned it to him but never got into a full on convo. about them. he seems to be doing his own thing alot of the time at work so not many chances to go ask about them.
