I don’t hate anyone I agree with you that there small minded and ignorant but what I. Saying why would him having different views to me stop me getting a tattoo from him. An ageist, sexist, sizeist. It doesn’t matter it’s just a view that’s separate to mine but I can accept that not everyone sees people as just people like me and you do and unfortunately people label other people.
I really dont think that’s a fair comparison. being a racist is a view it’s an ignorance, like I said if he was out phisacly beating people up no matter what race they wer then no I wouldn’t because he’s a thug and kicking someones head in for no reason. I know where your coming from and I can see how my opinion may be controversial or mis interpratated by people but I’m not trying to argue or be a dick, just debating two sides of an argument.
And as I said before, the mental action of hating someone for their skin color is no less damaging and no less real than the physical action of beating someone to a pulp for their skin color. Racism IS an action, so by your own definition you should not be willing to accept their ‘views’ so lightly.
I’m not trying to argue either. I’m just pointing out that there are no two sides of this argument. Or rather, what you make out to be the other side does not exist. There are only two ways with racists. Either you are one, in which case you act on it every day, or you aren’t one…. in which case you act on that every day.
But let’s leave this discussion be. Continuing it is of no benefit to anyone.
