I want a Frankenstein portrait that looks like this one. There are plenty of pics of different tats of the same thing online, but this is my favorite I’ve found.
The artist that’s scheduled to do it has done these….
From the samples I’ve shown do you guys think he’d do a good job on that Frankenstein I want?

The second one down isn’t half bad doesn’t look like it is from the same tattooist but the beard looks like an after thought and very lazily applied.

You still didn’t explain what’s so terrible about them. The only one I think is iffy is the one of Jesus. I think Lady Gaga, the older man, and the deadite from Evil Dead all look really good. And I think the baby and young guy in the hat look good too. Seriously what’s terrible about these?

It’s tough to take but butt is one of the reasons I went searching for a tattoo “artist” as opposed to a “tattooer”.

If you’re hell bent on using that artist, then use him! but, it seems a bit pointless asking for advice if you won’t take it!

Have a google of “david Corden” and “Nikko Hurtardo” to see the sort of thing you should be aiming for then post your location and ask for recommendations.
Or, use your guy, then post back with what he’s done on you then get all butt-hurt at the responses.

I’m not hellbent on using him, just disagreeing that his work is terrible. Sure it’s not AMAZING, but I find it far from terrible. The people who got those tattoos seemed really pleased with them and always said it looks just like their loved one they got it of.
However, I’m willing to get suggestions. I live in Madisonville, KY. My best bet would probably be Nashville. Any great tattoo artists who do exceptional portraits there?

Likewise, we all want to see the best tattoos possible.
If your not educated enough on what makes a subpar portrait and what makes a great portrait then just do research on the names that have been mentioned. Modern portraits from top tier artists look alive. When you look at a portrait, if the first thing you say is “damn, is that real?” Then your looking in the right place.
Im going to get a portrait from john barrett hopefully soon.

You could try Black 13 Tattoo Marty, TimmyB , or Josh would knock the fuck out of that if you would allow them to do their own take on it and then your walking around with an original tattoo not one that thousands and thousands of people have.
