i got my tattoo touched up today but had to pay 16 bucks for the needle i thought touch ups were free he told me he would do it for free guess not i did bother to argue why the he changed his mind about it being free then me having to pay for the needle :[
also how long does it take to heal now since he did the retouch today how long should it take to heal case i got the tattoo on the 14 and i went in today to touch it up
Paying for the needle on a touch up. That’s a new one on me.
Did you tip him well on the original job?
I only have had one “touch up” and she re did the whole tattoo 3 hours and didn’t charge me a thing. I tipped her 2 3 1/5 lbs smoked trout.

I have a similar situation. I cannot wear a condom as I’m alergic to the smoke from burning rubber.
how much does one usually tip after a tattoo?

If I’m tipping cash, I usually tip 20% the same as at a restaurant. However, I tend to follow the lead of the esteemed buttwheat and tip with other items. For the holidays I gave my artist six pounds of beef ribs smoked over white oak that was used to age fine corn whiskey. (he is from the beef barbeque capital, Texas)
My sessions usually span the dinner hour so I’ve been taking things along for him and the other shop employees. To date: Cheeseburgers, crab cake sliders, chicken corn soup, and of course the beef ribs.
(and I put together a Lionel electric train for his three year old son.)
To the OP, it will take just as long to heal the touchup as the original work. The “slimy” stuff is a mixture of the ointment the artist used and plasma.
Just use fragrance free antibacterial hand soap, be gentle. Just dont overthink the process.
Paying for the needle is dumb. The artist obviously isnt interested in repeat business.
Dont go back to the same guy.

I don’t know what i find more funny, they charged you that for a needle or the fact you actually payed.

That is obvious you saw the original tattoo right?
Buttwheat, you crack me up. If anyone ever tipped me in fish, I’d be a bit confused 😛
But that’s why we love you <3
