I emailed my artist, the guy who did my lovely abdominal tattoo, with a few ideas since I can’t narrow it down.
I know I want some sort of Thai inspired tiger, or a Narnia inspired tattoo, either Peter’s sword or Lucy’s dagger and cordial. I just lack a clear vision for how it’s going to look, and how it’s going to be incorporated into my left side. Ryan usually gets back to me pretty quick and I hope he’s interested.
It’s been an interesting day of getting things done.
I am trying to be patient. It’s not working. <_<
He usually emailed when he either gets into work at noon-ish or when things crawl down to a lull in the afternoon/evening. It seems rather dirty to have another guy at his studio do the tattoo (who was willing and talented), but I’d rather know what I’m getting.
Ryan is truly a diamond in the rough. He is getting busier, and as he does so, he is not able to fire away emails immediately as he once did. No reply yet. I sent another email and said if he can squeeze me in next week in his shop schedule I would bring him fresh Dunkin Donuts. (He’s into fitness like I am, but we’re all fat kids at heart.) Keep your fingers crossed for me he comes up with a cool idea from one of my three.
I also have some fun idea for florals on my inner thighs and a back piece based on the Soviet Union cartoon short “The Cat and the Tree,” with a little cat colored like mine and a huge, graceful tree in bloom. Surely he will like something and find it interesting. 🙁

Well, we talked this morning. He had me take a picture of my side (minus booby since he has no desire to be blinded), and send a few tiger pictures to get a feel for look and placement. Here are the pictures I sent:
I don’t want vicious-looking animals. I don’t want portrait. I don’t want tribal. (I know the one pic includes tribal.) It will be on my left side with the Tengwar and rose. Ryan chose the tiger instead of Narnia tattoos… Not sure why. But I am sure excited, even my aunt is excited. 😀 One more week!!!
I really like that one, too. Ryan’s seen my vulva because I pulled my pants down for the leaves on my abdominal tattoo… So after HE said, “I need to see a full side view,” I get this series of texts:
Ryan: You didn’t have to send a nudie!
Me: I’m so sorry. I hope I didn’t blind you.
Ryan: None needed. If anything you increased my vision a little.
When you ask for a picture of my side so you can visualize tattoo placement, what do you expect? I swear I’m not blonde. Also, is it surprising I’m not some 600 lb. feminist? 😉
Edit: Maybe that’s why at an award-winning studio, I don’t pay a deposit anymore. I’m gonna check my roots in the mirror. 🙁
