    Welcome to the forum!

I’ve had tattoos that healed perfect, some that healed horribly, and everything in between. I’m thinking it will turn out fine. Give it time, and your artist’s advice is correct. Worst case, you may need a touch up.

Good luck and keep us posted.

Top photo tattoo is about a week old. Middle photo about four months old. Color does need touched up.Bottom photo, present day, over a year old.(no touch up was done to the blue flower)

I used some Tea Tree oil mixed in with Lubriderm. I used it in very small quantities after the first three or four days.

It is a fragrance free daily use moisturizer. We also have Aveeno, and Cetaphil (plus many store brands) on this side of the pond.

The tea Tree Oil I get is from Australia.

You should be able to find bephanten or bacimycin as well. I use the last one for all my tattoos when they aren’t healing properly, it fights off starting infections etc and its always worked wonderfully for me. Usually clears up any issues in max three-four days, usually less.
I can tell from looking at the picture that your tattoo hasn’t been left alone – clothing sticking to it can be one of the reasons. The big risk with that, is that fibers from the fabric can get stuck in the tattoo, so if it’s not cleaned properly it will leave a thicker scab. If it bleeds you touched it or picked at it – Don’t do that.
Keep it clean, use a good ointment/lotion on it, and don’t touch it.
But yeah – It honestly doesn’t look too good. But tattoos take months to heal properly, and sometimes they require a touch up. It’s rarely a big deal, except if you got tattooed by a scratcher or someone who doesn’t do proper hygiene and sterilization. But if the artist was professional and you take care off it, you should be fiine 🙂

I had be using bephanthen, and cleaning and creaming it twice a day its my 12th tattoo and never had any be like this….. when it did bleed I just cleaned… my tattooist has said just keep it clean and not cream it for a while. so I haven’t creamed it all day, haven’t been picking at it but as I said in previous post the 2nd day I had it, did stick to my cardie and as I pealed it off it did take the scab with it ever since just kept it uncovered as much as poss

Just FYI Dr Google is wrong more than he is right. Think Dr Nick Riviera from the Simpsons. See a real Dr if you’re concerned.

Stop treating it as a tattoo and start treating it as a wound. After it heals find a competent tattooists to fix it.

Since not creaming it ad often and useing a simple moisturiser it seems to be healing slowly, fingers crossed
