Well, 13 years ago, i got some trusty ole barb-wire. Recently i had some work done in order to cover it up. It didn’t turn out so well because of the idea i was trying to go with. (Polynesian-type arm band.)
Now I’m left with what you see in the picture. I’m tempted to add 1 color, or multiple. I want the old barb-wire completely gone. As you can see, the teal tint is still peaking through some areas.
I wanted to get some feedback as to whether I should add more teal to the tattoo, or a full range of colors. I’m open to anything, because i feel it would look better. I wish i could see how some options would look…but I’m sure there isn’t much way unless someone goes to town with some sharpies. (Or some computer software i dont know about.)
Thanks everyone!
Opaque colors will work well if you choose to add color. I have had luck covering solid black stuff with dusty blue, clay gray, jade green, smoke, and dark ochre. I have some cover-ups posted on my Instagram (@davidjtattoos) with before and after pictures. Any reputable artist will know about and have the colors I’m talking about.
I love your stuff David, it’s awesome, I just went to double check your instagram and I hadn’t followed you last time so I’ve done it now! (kate0710) my bad! i’ll have to come visit the states sometimes so you can hook me up with some ink!
If yo ever come to Niagara Falls, I’m 20 minutes away.
Couple of nice saves there, David.
