Today I came across this old documentary about tattooing in the early 60’s, they interview a tattooer called Doc Forbes and several of his clients, and even show an elderly gentleman who is having his old tattoo’s redone. Doc Forbes is tattooing near the naval base in Victoria, BC during the interview.
I found it quite interesting, and was kind of impressed that even back in 1964 this fellow was wearing gloves while tattooing. It is kind of humorous when they start talking about the colours, because the whole thing is filmed in B&G.

So much has changed. And yet so much is still the same.
