Beginning this year i was photographing at a MMA gala and one of the fighters had a tattoo of an seppuku on his body (see photo). For me thats a bit to depressive… Now the meaning of a seppuke is that it will “stop” disgrace and oner revenge by killing your self. This is an ritual of the samurai’s. I kinda get the link between a samurai and a MMA fighter and that the only way to lose is by death.. At least thats a true fighting spirit.
But still…. A suicide ritual… Thats just to depressing for me.
