    Hi Dubman

Not a tattoo artist but the cover up will depend really on what you want doing. If it was heavy black tribal there would be no problem for lighter colours it may need some work.

I am sure an experienced artist would be able to work over it but you may need it lightening with laser treatment.

Will be honest it is not pleasant but may lift enough pigment so that you can get another lighter colour over it.

    Good Luck

Hi bud. Yes this can be covered. May have to be something bigger to start with, but if you are heading towards a sleeve then even better to work the design into. Bits of your old design can be used in a new piece and re-worked if need be.. Good luck mate.

    My first post also.

Im not too experienced in cover-ups, but your best bet would be to try and lighten it.

Ive never used any of the acid peels, but I know how they work and the principals are correct.. You could give it a shot.. Or go in for a few laser sessions.

Lightening the tattoo significantly improves your chances of getting it covered with something you would like rather than having to settle for something thats too dark.

Laser is expensive, but hey, is the money going to matter in 10 years when youre looking at a crappy black dragon on your arm? Or possibly looking at another bad tattoo used to cover the crappy black dragon?
