Hi
The best way I see it is if you have the centre piece outline done in bold then subtle shading in the inner parts will really bring the buckle out to the naked eye with the tribal around it as a decorative piece.
The outline will bolden the buckle as it will not be thick tribal lines and the shading will make the eye adjust and focus on what it is.
I am sure it will work well.

Alright thanks guys, I decided to go with the shaded version. If anyone has suggestions or even better, wants to photoshop up a version using that image it would be great. Once it’s finished and I have a tan Ill post an image 😀
For those wanting to give suggestions I don’t go in for the center piece until the 30th
