Last sunday i started my dragon that would be incorporated into my phoenix that i already have on my back. After 3 hours or so we came up with the design of a traditional Japanese dragon,to be done in the style of my artist.
After only 4, yes 4 hours of work this is what we ended up with (uploading pics to my profile failed so they are photobucket)

Next session we plan on coloring the scales and rest of the dragon, still working on what colors….
Absolutely amazing. I live the careful attention to detail!
Thanks, it really helps when the artist gets really excited about it right along with me. I am absolutly stoked to see it when its all done
nice work you have there
very nice , i wouldn’t have any colours in it
I love it just as it is…. Really nice work
It’s lovely, the size is perfect. I like colour but I’m assuming the Phoenix is staying the way it is?
Wow dude…. that….is….NICE! +1
yea the phoenix is done, all i have to do now is figure out how exactly i want the colors for the dragon. as of now i was thinking dark green for the scales and body but other than that im really not sure.
there both so cool, nicely done.
Green is always a good color for a dragon but dont do it to dark.
Both really good. Love the phoenix. Same artist.:)
Do Japanese dragons not have 3 claws?
japanese has 3
chinese has 5 and often thai and bali dragons have 4
Looks perfect the way it is… I love the detail and placement.
went back and got him colored on friday. I just have a stupid bathroom mirror self portrait for now, but i will get better pictures after its all done healing.
This was taken like 48 hours after we finished, and after 9 hours of total work this is my dragon:
