– just feel this site is full of absolute liars – everyone loves everthing – and we know that can’t be true – even some of the really crap tattoos on here never get slagged off – its always “great”, “brilliant” etc.. etc.. such bullshit!
– tell what you all really think – it’ll never offend anyway – most people love their own tattoos no matter what anyone else says – and for every good piece – there’s usually at least 2 poor ones !
My view is that if i can’t find something nice to say then I prefer to say nothing at all, it surprises me that you hang around though if you feel that we are all liars, you don’t know me so how can you presume that. I can like the concept behind a piece of work, I can think the work itself is pretty good, even so, other peoples taste in tattoos isn’t mine. I have seen some really wicked tribal tattoos but wouldn’t have one and don’t particularly like them. I like the idea behind your tattoo, the design is quite good too but it isn’t to my taste. Also, telling people what you really think does offend people, personally I don’t give a rats a**e whether you think my tattoo is too ‘my little pony’ but there are people out there whose confidence would be knocked by thoughtless comments, for that reason I prefer not to make negative remarks to people who post their pics. I resent that, and am in fact quite offended. Like vizzielover was saying, this forum is full of tattoo enthusiasts. We love GOOD tattoos. A hideously ugly tattoo by my taste, but extremely well DONE, is a GOOD tattoo none the less. An AWESOME tattoo even.
It may be crap in your opinion, but not in others’ eyes.

sorry to all – liar was too strong a word !! Just find it hard to believe how most on here seem to find little fault in other’s tattoos.
It’s only a form of art – and I can’t believe the lack of shall I say, constructive criticism. I’m no tattoo expert, but like most people, I know what I like and don’t like, and the comment of “if you can’t say anything nice etc..” then we’re not kids , and if people don’t want criticism – then don’t put photos up on here asking for comments – good or bad !
– As for the “my little pony ” etc – it just reminded me of it – and it wasn’t to my taste – I certainly didn’t say it was a bad tatoo – just being honest.

To some extent I do agree with your point. I’ve personally tried getting honest feedback on an idea and only when I decided against it myself did I get “Oh good, I hated it!”

I think it’s different if she put a photo up and asked for opinions. In this case, she didn’t, she is just proud to be done with something that took a lot of time, money and pain. I think seniorminnion’s first comment was out of line, almost an attack on the original poster and calling everyone a liar was a broader line attack on everyone here.
seniorminnion did apologize and said that Liar was too strong of a word, which I respect. I think we all should consider what the poster was looking for before we reply. Sometimes people ask for an opinion and with that we should give it to them. Look through some of my older posts… I have no problem telling someone their work is bad if they ask. If someone is proud of their work and puts a post up to show it off I see no reason to go out of your way to insult it.

I always tell it like it is. People have their own opinions on anything and everything, but I always offer my sincere opinion. It’s all about being respectful however because I really do respect a person’s art and their decision to put money and time into their body. Critisicm is apart of anything that’s ever been created.
As for this piece, not my cup of tea, but I do like the coloring scheme. I always did like that purple and pink mixed together and went with a similar (but darker) theme for my tattoo.
