Not a stupid question. Actually, most people don’t know the symbolism of centipedes in Japanese culture.

In Japanese folklore, they represent/embody evil and death.

In the first picture, there is Japanese calligraphy. It reads, “From death comes resurrection”
I got that because I died for 2 minutes.

I have him do all my designs freehand. I just tell him what my concept is, the elements I want represented, we argue over it for a bit, then he starts drawing on me with green sharpie. If I like, he redraws with a red sharpie. If I don’t like it, alcohol wipe away and redraw.
