Dont be too harsh on me, still learning….all the above are on either myself or close friends…
Put the machine down and go get yourself a proper apprenticeship
in the process of doing that… practicing on myself is fine with me..thanks for the suggestion.
No it’s not Bad habits are hard to break. In other words relearning to do something is way harder then to learn to do it right in the first place. You obviously have some artistic talent but you are picking up bad habits that are going to hinder your learning. work on your sketches instead. A good sketch book will help you land an apprenticeship, where the stuff you are putting on you and your friends is hurting your chances with finding a mentor.
that makes sence man, appreciate the advice,really.. i have been meaning to work on my sketches
Good post.
Agree with BW…have you coloured in any pieces yet though? It’s all well and good to outline but have you done any colour?
nah see thats the thing, i havent been taught the proper way to do that so no i havent dove into it i dont want to yet… i colored a koi fish design on my leg… it came out ok but not as well as id hoped to im not going to get into that until im in a shop learning how to
Some of that looks really bad. You’re definitely not ready to start inking people yet. And no, there’s no way I can say that without being harsh.
thanks for the responce, little critisism or advice would be better then just saying its really bad.. but its ok..i know im not really ready..thats why there on myself and my good friends who let me practice..but thanks. i guess
Well, since unlicensed tattooing discussions are forbidden in here, you will not get any criticism or advice. If you did, I’d have to close the thread and delete the reply.
Take your time, make each piece special and always strive to make the one your working on the best you have done… You owe your client/canvas at least that much. With your work I see a simple outline, probably done with a #5 and without any attempt thicken or thin the lines. Try using multiple sizes and various greywashes, you would be amazed at the difference. Some sculpting would have helped too. You need to spend more time on these and take more pride in them.
