Hey guys, first post and first tattoo! My brother is the one who did the work from a drawing he recieved while incarcerated in Iowa. They would trade drawings and other crafts and that’s how he ended up with this peice. He has been locked up since I was 7 years old (1997) he was 21 at the time and has been tattooing (all single needle) since he was 13. He finally got to come home this past christmas (very close to christmas day actually) and we’ve gotten really close so I decided it was time I let him throw some ink on me. lol. Really happy with how it turned out, don’t know if I wanna keep adding on it or just start somewhere else. Let me know what you think!

To be honest the design is real cool. But the tattoo it’s self look pretty weak. Was it done with real ink or something your brother just whipped up in the kitchen?

1) that’s not a half sleeve, it’s just a large arm tattoo

2) I’d have to agree with the above posts saying that the design is pretty damn interesting but the tattoo itself looks poorly executed (but at the same time looks very good for a poorly executed tattoo if that makes any sense?) But I think the fact that your long lost brother was the artist makes it a much better story and perhaps even makes up for the fact that the ink could’ve been done better elsewhere.

Very cool piece with an interesting story behind it!

yupp, i think its been said but i feel i have to join in and say once again the design is legit but the work itself not so much. still not a dogshit tattoo but maybe have a real artist finish it up by tightening some lines and reshade by darkening darks and keeping the highlights(where skin is showing).

Great design, but the quality of the actual tattoo does look like a jailhouse tat. That said, the lower part with the skull in the third pic of the actual tattoo looks pretty decent.
