Alright, so I’m in the processing of designing my second tattoo. It’s an eagle-like phoenix that’ll run about halfway down my back. I’m just not quite sure how to go about drawing the tail feathers on it. I was contemplating drawing in some peacock-like feathers but I’m not sure it suits. So far I’ve just sketched in a few simpler feathers at the base of the tail, and the tail does need to be quite long (about 2/3 of the tattoo’s length is going to be the tail).

Any ideas or suggestions for how to design the tail would be greatly appreciated, or even general ideas/critiques of the design. And sorry for the shitty cell phone pic. Oh, and pay no attention to the random blob. It’ll be a foot when I get around to it (I know it kind of looks like I’m planning on drawing a phoenix with giants balls right now though, I’m not haha).
