Hi,
I’ve been reading this forum for a while, but this is my first post. I thought I’ll share my ink with you guys and see what you think.
This is my first ever tattoo, done in 2007 in Poland where I come from. Picture doesn’t show it very well, but if you look in to the pupil of the eye there is a skull in there. Idea was to do an Egyptian all seeing eye in a sort of gothic/demonic style, so my artist replaced usual pyramid surround of the eye with ivy leafs and put skull inside of the pupil to represent the dangers that lay ahead. So basiclly it’s an eye that’s watching my back ๐
Next two tattoos are on my right hand. One is on my wrist and other is on the inside of my arm. Those will become a part of a full sleeve that I’m having done.
This last one is located on my stomach. It’s my wife’s name and date that we’ve met (and in essence when our family started). I don’t like how it looks on its own, so will try and get it re-done. I’m thinking of making it look like it’s written on an egg with a cobra guarding it (it’s body around the egg and head on my chest), like a family guardian if you wish.
welcome to the forum mate.
Might just be me but i am actually struggling to work out what your tattoo’s are actually off?
+1….. ๐ฎ
Thanks guys for the welcome.
First and last one I think I’ve explained already. In regards to the middle ones they will be part of my bio-mechanical sleeve. All I can say wait for the finished product ๐
Welcome, and thanks for posting pics! Too bad the top one is so blurry, I’d really like to see that pupil. The ink looks good, tho, although I do see a couple somewhat shaky lines on the bio piece. Overall it looks like it could be a kick ass sleeve anyway. Nice work!
I’ll try and get better picture of it when I have a moment. I regards to bio piece I’m actually changing artist now. Guy who did those two is ok, but I don’t think he’s got enough skill and experience to deliver a standard of work that I expect. It was my mistake that I jumped in to quick and just let him do the work. Just because he’s a good lad and has some good ideas how to do my tattoo doesn’t mean that he’s got skill to deliver a quality of work that I want. He’s not bad but I want it perfect, so now I’ve decided that I’ll go to a more experienced artist. It will cost more and I will have to travel 2,5h one way to get there, but it’ll be worth my while…hopefully ๐
Absolutely. Quality is always worth the time and extra cost. Congratulations on demanding a higher standard of art. If the kid’s good, he’ll get to that standard working smaller, less elaborate tats. That one is definitely something you want a seasoned pro doing.
Had my first session yesterday in the new studio, so thought I’ll post a little update. We’ve done the top of my shoulder (still not finished). Everything has been free handed. Let me know what you think.
P.S.
Sorry for the quality of photos. Done with a camera phone. Will try and get some better ones done later.
