Hey guys I’m new here and I just got a new tattoo for my very first time and I want to show it off to y’all! I don’t have any other good pictures because this picture was taken right after it was finished. It’s pretty generic, but hey, I like it and I don’t regret it one bit! Check it!

Very nice! Congrats and welcome to the forum!! 🙂 🙂
Not bad at all. Congrats on the ink
Looks great! But what I have seen entirely too many cherry blossom trees on peoples backs, what is the significance of a cherry blossom tree?
There’s no significance in the cherry blossom trees and bamboo. They’re only there for aesthetic purposes. The main part of the tattoo are the snakes. My tattoo is part of a traditional Chinese folk story. I don’t feel like elaborating what it means, but I can link you a quick in-an-nutshell explanation.

Watch this movie to get a general idea of what the tattoo means, if you’re too lazy to read. Remember, this movie is cinematic for entertainment purposes. Although it’s not completely accurate to the original traditional Chinese folk story, you’ll get the jist of it. It’s also a fun movie to watch, and I grew up watching this since I was a kid so I think it had a significant impact on my life.
Well I was wondering if the cherry blossom tree signifies anything. You know how some flowers are supposed to mean something. Like a rose signifies love.
Anyways, it’s just I’ve seen a lot of them so I wasn’t sure if they meant like rebirth or some shit
Yeah I feel you. Like I said before, it’s pretty generic, but I think it’s because it’s just super pretty. Anyways, check out the movie, ’cause I think it’s a good movie. Enjoy!
“The flower symbolism associated with the cherry blossom is education. In China, the cherry blossom is also a symbol of feminine beauty. It also represents the feminine principle and love. In Japan, cherry blossoms symbolize the transience of life because of their short blooming times. Falling blossoms are metaphors for fallen warriors who died bravely in battle. This connotation links them with the samarai.”
