Dragon koi First Sitting

As threatened I finally got my dragon koi started.
3 hours for first sitting and hopefully another sitting in 2-4 weeks.
The plan is to do some touch ups then start to colour it in.

Constructive feedback always welcome.

The pic was taken a few hours after the session, also intend to add a lot of fine detail.

Much appreciated – been taking a lot of stick from ‘art purists’ but I always state we get what we find attractive.

Chuffed though as I know Japanese isn’t your fave style.

Looks awesome! I love japanese style tattoos. I’m thinking of doing a koi on my left arm, very similar in size to that. Looking forward to seing it completed. One more sitting only?

I don’t think that picture does it justice at all. I have a feeling it looks much better in real life than it does in that picture. When are the final pictures coming, color and all?

I like it. I like the pocket watch mixed with the traditional Jap work. congrats.

Oh and it wouldn’t be me if I didn’t say something about the couple of spots on the lines on the face of the watch.;)

look at it again they are wrong on your clock the 4= IV and 6= VI which are correct on the tattoo 4= VI and 6=IV which are backwards.

The clock you posted is right para, just the numerals are upside down compared to the tattoo. The tattoo is still wrong, dOh!
