I have a half sleeve with such bad background it was going to be smoke but it turned out like shit. I looks like bruising. I have recently gotten a cherry blossom tree with my daughter name “Lyrik” “mum and my sisters name “Shylo” I have a few big spaces that I cant quite find anything to fit perfectly. I also have no idea what to do about my back ground

Maybe like some traditional Japanese windbars behind the cherry blossom tree or just find a good artist and ask what he suggests most of the time they know what would flow best and look good.

I was leaning in the direction of turning ‘the smoke’ into clouds also… I think an artist who does a lot of black&gray work would be able to make it happen. The challenge would be to get the background flowing w/o taking away from the tattoos.
