Yesterday was my last session on my music sleeve. It’s finally finished! I originally had a piece on my shoulder, and on my foream…and I wasn’t happy with them…I then had a new artist do 2 new pieces on my bicep and around to my tricep….she also fixed up the previous artists’ work. I was never happy with lack of flow until yesterday. Yesterday she finally finished it!
It all started with this that I got about 5 years or so ago:
Then I got this stuff added around it years later:
Then I got this on my forearm a few months later:
So my right arm then looked like this:
Then, I started going to a new MUCH better artist, who is now my go-to tattoo artist. She did this piece:
So it kinda didn’t look right now:
Then I got the empty space on my arm filled in with this by my new awesome artist:
Now it really looked weird:
You can see the difference in the 2 different people’s work…the new girl is MUCH better:
Now it was just a matter of having her blend everything together:
She reshaded all the top stuff:
And the final finished piece:
Im diggin it now, much more blended, bravo! glad you got it like you wanted it, looks great
Thanks guys! I appreciate it!
I’m still not 100% happy with it considering the fact that I got separate pieces, and tried to make it all flow together rather then just sleeving it from the start. But it’s as good as it’s going to get, and I love the meaning behind it all. Plus, it doesn’t look too bad (still not GREAT).
I almost made the same mistake on my left leg…I told my artist to do something on my left leg and leave it open in case I want to add on, and maybe eventually sleeve it. Then I remembered that is EXACTLY what I did wrong on my arm. I instead just told him to go ahead and do a full sleeve from the start!
Loving it!
Wow, cool to see the progression. Love it 🙂
Really cool man!
I wasnt stoked on the first couple pieces individually, but you really put it all together nicely!! You def. found a good artist and ended up with a really nice piece!!
that’s awesome
it was a bit lame when there was just a couple of bits to start with, but it’s come together brilliantly
my favourite bit’s the she-devil on the piano
I love the cacti she added to put some perspective into that intersection. Great idea.
at the first few pictures i thought that it would turn out like a mash of images that wouldn’t really fit together, but the second artist really made it al flow together. Congrats on this killer sleeve!
