Still swollen red, gooey, and generally ouchy. There will be some toadstools, grass etc. at the bottom that will cover my 20+ year old dancing bear.
There’s a branch coming up and out on the front as well, but I couldn’t get a decent pic… too damn swollen at the moment. The whole thing’s a massive welt.
Oh shit is that permanent??
Looks great I like that your bear will be a mushroom.
Remember to elevate that leg to help with swelling.

Thanks. A compliment from you makes the pain almost bear-able. 😀
Thanks! I’m liking it so far. This one’s a whole lot of artist’s creative license.
“I’d like a Tolkien-esque character but not the movie Treebeard… something more of an early John Howe, Ted Nasmith – ish… gnarled and ancient. Here’s a candle holder a friend sent me, but I only really love the eyes…. and the toadstool is pretty cool.”
5 minutes of red Sharpie squiggles later…… I forgot why I was nervous the night before.
Very nice … really liking it. 🙂
actually look’s awesome congrats on the great ink!
This is gorgeous, but I second the recommendation to elevate it. Consider cold packs as well. And hell, then all you need to do is crack open a beer and turn on the football game. The Steelers play at 1pm EST! =)
that’s going to look right tidy doll, nice one
It is looking very good. Congrats! :):):)
I wish healing was faster. LOL Having something unfinished makes me nuts.
I can both sympathize and empathize. :/ I am getting a piece done in March and then having the background and so forth completed by another artist over 2-3 sessions in the Fall. 😮
Coming on nicely, looking forward to the next instalment of pics!
Looks really good, Jen. The lineworks is clean and crisp. Should be very nice when all is said and done!
You’re next session will be here before you know it. Just let it heal up as much as possible before you go back under the needle. Why rush something that will be on you, oh… FOREVER? 😉
