Finally finished my tattoo after what felt like a very long wait (over a month) for my second sitting,
I love it!
Let me know what you think.
I prefer the downward facing Koi and like the petals floating around.
Not really keen on the upward facing Koi, looks a little too stiff, as if the koi needed more bend with the line work.
As an overall piece it looks quite badass though.
Just my 2 cents.
Look’s well done man, congrats on completion!
looks amazing man… congrats!
as usual i’m envious 😡
Looks great man. I’m really not a fan of koi but your tattoo looks pretty solid.
Looks like you have a ruined sock there just remember to wear the same one next time you get work done.
Actually, from what I understand from a girl i used to date with a koi.
The chinese lore/story goes… the koi fish is to swim up the yellow river- a task it wasn’t ever supposed to be capable of doing. If it can do that… it will turn into a dragon.
So upward facing koi’s represent the attempt to become a dragon…which is a good thing
saying that
koi’s are overdone. when will unicorn’s become trendy?
I don’t really like koi but this looks ok! 🙂

Yeah, I was aware of the story before I got the tattoo, however I got it with no real meaning or story behind the it. It was purely because i liked the design as an art form.
solid, clean and smooth… Looks like good work, you should be proud to wear it.

Thanks Everyone!
The artist was Rhys Gordon
