Hi all. I’m in the middle of an apprenticeship at Industrial Tattoo Company in Vancouver, WA. It’s been a great experience so far, and I’m learning under some very talented guys. I’d appreciate some feedback on my work so far, still got a long way to go. thanks!
this one aint finished yet.
The are all pretty decent for an apprentice. The one area i feel u need the most work on is your shading. Some of your line work is solid and some arent, but this is all expected for apprentices. I say keep it up and u will do fine.
Looks pretty decent. How long have you been at it? And did you freak when you saw how much bigger that feather on the ribs gets when you stretch them out?
all the lettering is jacked,
colors in union pacific piece not too smooth, red, blue and light blue,
red on wolf rough,
hbd guy looks a little chewed up on leg and color again, not too smooth,
line work looks pretty good, work on putting that color in, stencil those letters if you cant free hand them straight…………its coming along!
Hi
They are not bad for a start – noted the lettering and shading issues, as well as a few wobbles but certainly a lot of raw talent.
You have some strong areas in the bird portrait and feather – realism type ink.
Keep at it and you will def get there.
Take care
Matthew
Thanks for the critique, all noted. I’m definitely concentrating on improving the shading, and the lettering. It’s been getting a little better now that I’m being shown how to adjust the machines properly.
Keep at it! The other folks are right. You have a lot of natural talent; you just need time and practice. 🙂 I LOVE Howl’s Castle.
What everyone else has said and the two arm/bicep tattoos are backwards.
I agree with everyone else. You’re doing well and just need to practice on some of those trouble spots. You’ll get there, without question! :):):)
I agree with others as well, keep it up though, nothin like practice practice practice. Diggin the bird btw.
Yep, nose to the grindstone. Started my first half sleeve this week.
Can’t go wrong with Art Nouveau.
Stuff from the last couple weeks, some in progress.
