So I got this tattoo about 2 months ago and I took care of it just like I did with my other two tattoos and they turned out fine. I have heard that if the artist overworks the skin it can cause scarring or a raised surface. I am wondering if this is going to last forever or if it goes away after a while. Has anyone else experienced this problem? if so did it go away or is there anything you can do?

Its just scurred. A lot of mine is raised ever so slightly. Nope doesn’t go away. At least not over 10 years…

If it is scared then it will remain raised for a long ass time if not forever. Post up a picture!

I guess there a variables. I had one that some of the colors were really thick. It got back to normal after about nine months.

Usually if the tattoo is raised, it’s because it’s placed wrong in your skin. Too deep, too shallow, etc. Out of all my tattoos, only one is raised, and it was done by a shitty artist.
It could still be healing and go back to normal in a while, that can take some time. After 10 years.. Yeah, your artist needs to check their machine 😛
