What do you think of this? Been getting mixed reactions. If anyone has any suggestions on some realistic ways to have it improved, let me know.

Not my style. I want tattoos to be unique and tailor made for me. (don’t buy one “off the rack”)

Thanks for the feedback. I’m a nuclear weapons specialist in the Air Force, so that’s the meaning of it.
Sorry man it is pretty bad. Real flat and terrible line work.

In that case riding the bomb should be “Slim Pickins” from the movie “Doctor Strangelove”
Any way you could suggest improving it? Can it be rescued in your opinion?
Yea it’s definitely not the greatest. I’d definitely get this thing reworked. The girl’s face is terrible and the bomb has some really bad line work
Thanks everyone. I schelduled an appointment with a another tattoo shop in Denver that many people I know have went to. I sent him the pic and he said it’s absolutely terrible, and is reworking it and will have it done in a couple weeks. It’s gonna cost me 3x the original cost to get it reworked but considering this is my largest tattoo it’s worth it. I’m just worried the damage is already done and theres not much that can be reworked to make it decent.
In my honest opinion, this is not a very good tattoo at all. The “experts” on this forum will let you know if it can be improved upon and how. By the way, welcome to the forum!! 🙂
I actually love the concept and the design, I think a pinup girl riding a bomb is cool as hell but maybe just because I want one some day. But that’s only if theyre done properly. First, I think you went way too big for what you have and obviously as you know it’s not well done at all. Yeah, let a new artist have a crack at it, you should post a link to their work if you can so we can take a look. I would think besides reworking the existing tattoo there should be some background added of some sort, it just looks too big and doesn’t fit well as is in my opinion.
It has been many many times: good tattoos aren’t cheap and cheap tattoos aren’t good. I am sorry that you learned this the hard way.
A good artist can make this way better for you. Like Adler said, please post a link to the new artist’s work. Many people here have enough experience to judge his work and let you know if you should let him rework your tattoo. You don’t want to have to have it fixed a third time. And just because you know people who are happy with an artist’s work doesn’t mean it is any good. I have a good friend who keeps returning to a shitty artist because she is happy with the shitty work they are putting on her. Her last one is supposed to be the iconic “Love Kills Slowly” design by Ed Hardy. They screwed it up, it says Love Slowly Kills. And I have to look at that shit that she is so proud of. (my poor eyes!!)
Go to a KICKASS artist and get a KICKASS tattoo. It won’t be cheap, but it will be worth every penny.
For example, here’s an example of a well-done pinup…not to brag but it’s on me. (one of these days I’ll get a good, healed pic)

Here’s who I was gonna take it to get it reworked:

While I to live in Denver (well a little outside of Denver), I have honestly never even seen or heard about them but from what I see they seem pretty decent and I’m sure they will be able to fix you right up!
