New cover up tattoo. Looking for over all opinions and suggestions on what to do around the border.
Here is a pic half way through. You can see the scorpion in the middle that is being covered up.
Here is what we finished after 7 hours. This pic is 24 hours old.
I know its not done but do you think I should add shadows or shading around the borders of it? What do you think about the quality of the work so far?
Thanks
It looks good!
What does the artist say? After doing work like that, I’d trust him with the details.
It’s high quality work. Go with what the artist thinks is best
Looks ace mate:)
Looks good man. Who’s the artist?
Looks great so far
I think that the artist did a really good job of this, I really like it. At this point you should just give him free reign to finish it the way that he wants to. It is already really good and he probably already knows how he would like to see it finished.
Thanks everyone!
The artist is Steve Wimmer and Im really happy with it so far.
The original appointment to get this done was July 23 2014. I was able to move up because he had a cancelation. Now the appointment to finish is July 23 2014 unless I catch another cancelation. Even though its not finished it is still way way better than the lame scorpion Ive had for 18 years!
When ever I show someone their reaction is always WOW!!!
My idea was a skull, pocket watch and a salvia divinorum plant. His main focus was just getting the scorpion covered for the first appointment and he said we could add the leaves and flowers from the plant around the edges later. He also said we could just do shading around the edges and I get the feeling this is what he wants to do.
The plant plays a role in the meaning of the tattoo for me. However I like it so much the way it is Im afraid to ruin it and no one else would get the meaning anyways.
Ive got time before the next appointment to decide so I figured Id get some opinions from here.
I have no problems telling him to finish however he wants and this is how Im leaning right now.
