    Hi all,

I came across this forum on Google and joined because, in recent years, I have become addicted to Ink! I have had 4 tattoos now – a Griffin on my back, a skull and crossbones on the inside of my inside left bicep, a large heart and dagger on my outside upper left arm and the 4 card suits on my inside left wrist – 2 done in Reigate, 1 done in Cardiff and the last one done in Las Vegas (guess which one!). I am always thinking of the next one (at the moment I am debating a Galleon/Ship on my right arm), and I am basically addicted.

I have always wondered, when people have a sleeve, is it always one piece or is it several that are gradually brought together in one way or another?

Anyway, I am looking forward to conversing with you all!

How are you going to do it, if you don’t mind me asking? I have a couple on the same arm and am trying to think of a way to bring them together. More pieces or just filler stuff?

    Welcome to the forums!

Yeah, getting tattooed IS addicting BUT make sure you’re not JUST getting tattooed to have them. You should have a lil something behind your ink. But it is your body and you can do whatever you want to it.

When sleeving, it can be a mixture of artists and seperate pieces all tied into one. Or having on big piece display one story or image.

I personally think sleeves should be a timeline of who you are, where you’ve been in life, what you’ve become.

It’s a good philosophy, how can you deny your own past, and how can you be sick of it…

I love the artwork mainly, I can’t say that enough goes on in my life to catalogue in art form on my body but I do like a lot of art, so if something looks good, I want it on me!

Hi and welcome to the forum.

Sleeves can grow from the joining of 1 or 2 pieces (or more) or they can be done as a singular expression of art.

My advice is if you have pieces already there then plan around them and see what can bring them together or a filler piece that sets off all of your tattoos.

    Take care

well if you look at my pictures i only have the two large ones on the top of my arm. The way i am bringing them together is i am getting another large piece underneath my arm than getting a few small ones than just doing a full color/shading. i dont know if this really explains.
