    hi everyone, i was browsing the web and stumbled upon this site ( i was looking for tattoo forums) , im hoping to get a few tattoos soon, im 16 🙂 and have about 4 tattoos in mind. just waiting for my parent to give in and let me get em. i look forward to being an active member of this forum and to make a few friends in the process

    What ink are you considering?

    Feel free to post them up as concepts and we can help as many of us have been through the early ink mistakes and will be happy to try and help you avoid the same errors.

    Also it might help you and your parents to have a read through my free e-book that covers the basic questions on tattooing, what inks to avoid, what to look for in a studio etc.

    This may put their minds at rest.

    Personally I would wait until at least 18 as tastes rapidly change.

    we have many 16 year olds joining recently :rolleyes:
    when i was 16 i nearly had a japanese kanji symbol tattoo on my right breast and boy that would have been a mistake !! seeing that i was an c cup at the time and a e cup now !!!

    please do not rush into getting a tattoo !
    its costing me a fortune to cover up all my teen mistakes now instead of getting some shit hot tattoos done from the start !

    Welcome to the forum 😀

    As people have already said, doesn’t make too much sense getting a tattoo before your body has fully grown. Chances are it’ll end up distorted and not looking as good as it could.

    I wanted a tattoo since i was about 14,looking up to my brother as he got his first at 16..
    Later as my brother changed as a person he wanted the tattoo gone,naturally as a tattoo artist now he removed the tattoo and put something over it..He says to me today never get tattoos till your 18.
    The body grows,changes and also your styles change.;)
    I waited till i was 18.

    You probably hate hearing it, but yeah, wait ’til you’re 18. I was the same, couldn’t wait to get one, but waited until I was 19 and I know I’m not gonna have any regrets 😉

    it might be legal to have a tattoo in your state with your parents consent, but i would recommend listening to the other replies you have about waiting untill you are older..;)
