Hello all!

I personally have 3 tattoos myself, one on my right lower back, one on my left shoulder blade, and one on my inner ankle. I got two of them in Hong Kong, and one in San Francisco’s Haight Ashbury.

I am a Chinese translator (books, etc) who has merged my translation talents with my interest in tattoos to help others design their own Chinese character tattoos. I’m joining the forum with the intention of helping out fellow tattoo enthusiasts who are thinking about getting Chinese tattoos. I have seen way too many tragedies out there, which gives Chinese tattoos a bad reputation, and our beloved art an unjust stigma. Also – I love to just browse around to check out what other people’s ideas are!

I was born and raised in Hong Kong, am fluent in Chinese Cantonese and Mandarin as well as English. I am a UC grad, and have been teaching and translating Chinese for over 4 years.
