…combined with a symbol of saint paul because i chose paul as my saint name and really admire his writings- his symbol being a sword and a book looking something like this…

…but im not too artistic and cant really come up with any ideas besides putting the symbol inbetween the writing which i was thinking would look good in a sort of old english font. I would either have it done on my back/shoulder blade area or on my ribs but basically i want to be as individualistic as possible and want to see what you think about my idea and any design ideas are really appreciated

i created my sleeve off a quote from a poet and from the poem you’ve chosen i think you could be onto a winner there too.
what i’d do is take you time and from each verse pick out bits that stand out to you which you could transfer into a picture. go through the whole poem like that and it should paint a picture for you.
i very much doubt you’ll have the end result within a night’s work though. i’d say take your time (to give you an idea it to a whole year for me to go from idea to the start of ink, then took a year to complete!) and if need be think as deep as you can into each verse and then some on whatever pictures/designs you have. you’ll more then likely find your first attempts will not be the final.
there’s plenty of time for the tattoo…..take your time and you’ll have a seriously nice piece of ink:)
