Hello. I’m Angelica, I’m 22 years old, going to college in Dallas, TX, and I have 4 tattoos.
My first is some script (in white ink of all things), on my left wrist. This tattoo has slowly faded and isn’t very legible anymore, but that’s actually okay with me because I got it to honor my friend who died when we were in high school, and I don’t need anyone to see it for me to remember her–I know its still there.
The second tattoo I got is some script on the side of my left foot, that says “No day but today…,” kind of like putting your best foot forward (literally, because its on my foot). I originally got it tattooed in brown ink, but later I ended up getting it redone in black because you just lose so much skin on your feet and it would have to be touched up less if black ink. Recently, when I got my third tattoo touched up (see below), I added a yellow drop shadow to the script to make it more legible and cohesive with my third tattoo.
My third tattoo is above the script on my left foot, and is a very bright and colorful peacock feather. I love peacocks (maybe even a little too much), and Lil John at Gizmo’s did such a wonderful job. I get stopped in public all the time by people who want to see the feather up close, or just to compliment it.
My most recent and final tattoo I got yesterday! It is on the side of my right foot. It is a traditional Irish claddaugh, except the crown above the hearts is missing. I did this on purpose, because my specific tattoo is not supposed to represent a friendship, rather it is to represent my respect and love for my mother and father. In Irish tradition, two hands holding a heart represents love for one’s parents. Inside of the heart itself, I had Casey at Hold Fast tattoo the shield from my family’s crest. It is a very cool tattoo, yet very simple. I will put up a picture of it when it has healed and looks good again. Right now its in the beginning stages of healing and doesn’t look too hot.
I love to see different artists and what kinds of work they can produce. I am an artist myself: I paint oils with a palette knife, and do very realistic prismacolor pencil pieces. I’m obsessed with Miami Ink and LA Ink as well.
hello and welcome to the forums. Love the peacock feather.
