Just joined a few days ago. I thought i better introuduce myself now. My name is Stephen I live in IL and just recently started getting tattoos. I got a cross design on my left arm and this past weekend got a cool scorpian on my right arm. I used to be against tattoo as well as my wife was to but on day things changed in my mind its my body and if I want to express myself with body art then I will. It fits in with my fellings of being unique I may look like one that fits into average society but I am very unique person inside and this is just my expression of who I am. Hopefully that make sense to someone. My wife also got a rose with her late husbands day he passed away on her back and is planning on getting some more. I ended up with a degerative spine disorder which I have severe arthritus and severe bulging discs and I figure life is to short if people want to judge me cause of my choice of expression than to hell with them they dont love me if they are like that.

Steven- It sounds to me like you have had a rough time over the past few years. What do your tattoo’s mean to you? why a scorpion and a cross? I’m just curious…
First of all I got them just because I like them but the cross is a unique one not the typical one that you would normally see a person get but that would be because of my faith. The scorpian is a more tribal style one and its my astrological symbol and I thought that was cool. So they didnt persay get them because of menaing but because I liked them and thought they were unique first and then casue they symbolized something to me. I think tattos are just a way I chose to express myself and show I am living my life for me not for others and just because I have always felt unique and its an expression on the outside of what I fell on the inside.
