I have been keeping updated on all threads from the last few weeks. I am a 27 year old male from England with only one small tattoo from 10 years ago.
I have been toying with a half sleeve for sometime now and either lack of ideas and finances held me back and when I did get my design sorted finances became tight having to reschedule my appointment!
I have chosen a B+G half sleeve Koi with waves and cherry blossoms and the inside of my arm will transition through including two lotus flowers again with waves and strategicly placed cherry blossoms.
The meaning behind the tattoo is the struggle getting were I have been aiming with my career for the last few years and persistence is starting to pay off (which covers off the Koi meaning and the feeling of swimming up stream) and the two lotus flowers represent my wife and I who have grown together through a few challenges from her family and are now happily married and have been together eight years next month, most of all I love the shading and design as it kicks ass.
I am starting my 1st 4hour session on Tuesday with another 4hours the month later to hopefully finish up. I will post pics after 1st sitting is complete. The work will be carried out by Rose Price from the Golden Dragon studio in Chester and I can’t wait.

That sounds almost exactly like the tattoo im planning on getting! the only difference is i want it to have peonies instead of cherry blossoms, and the koi fish facing downstream for my lifelong shyness and introversion. Can’t wait to see pics of yours! Also, how much did it cost? (pounds or dollars)
