Hello everyone! I’m really here to try and just discuss and get some advice on some of the body art that I want, and also offer others advice. Hope to see some warm welcomes and become fairly close to some of you on here! 🙂
Hi welcome do you have any ink now?
Nah, not yet! I’m only 16, turning 17 in a few days (February 4th). Been wanting the same tattoo since I was actually 15. I’m most likely going to be inked up a little bit after my 17th birthday by a family friend in Pennsylvania (Bruce Fairchild). Neither of my parents have any tattoos, and would actually say that they are against it, but since the tattoo I want has meaning behind it and I’ve wanted it for 2 and a half years, they’re starting to strongly consider it. I want the words “If I die before I wake, I pray the lord my soul to take” on my inner bicep in cursive.
give this alot more thought…………….
A lot more thought in what way? Placement or the actual content? I want the placement because it’s always in a place that I can see, but even a t shirt can cover it up if I didn’t want to show it off for the day. It isn’t the “cool” factor I’m looking for, but more the sentimental value of it.
Your 17 you want it because the cool factor. Does the family friend work in a shop or out of his house?
Oh, yes, I forgot all 17 year old’s are incapable of making decisions and we’re all retarded. Before dissing an artist, look him up. Bruce Fairchild from Pennsylvania. He owns Triple 6 Tattoos. I actually want this tattoo because it comes out of a prayer that I once said with my dad at the side of the bed when times in my life were easier and more simple. It gives me the memory of being a child, everything I did as a child, and how much my family means to me, and how everything in life can change in a second.
Calm down take a deep breath. I didn’t “diss” your family friend. I was just asking a question.
I don’t think you are retarded But I think it has more of a cool factor in your mind then you think it does. That’s it so calm down. I will look up your family friend.

Alright, well sorry to over react, I just don’t like people who assume. I took it wrong, my bad. And yes, I do agree most people at young ages get it to “stick out” and show the cool factor. However, I’m doing just fine without the ink, and will do just the same with it. It’s the sentimental factor for me when I look in the mirror
or see it on my arm every day.
I tried to search for this shop and Bruce. The shop has no website and Bruce has a facebook but it is set on privet. These to me are signs of someone that is not proud of their work. please prove me wrong and post up some pics of his work.
Those 2 are just to show his sharp lines and skill with text. As far as “picture” tattoos.
how about a portrait of your Dad, instead?
I’m really not huge into portraits on my skin. I love seeing a quality portrait on someone else, but I’m not about that.
Me, too.
I like the idea about the little kid kneeling at the edge of the bed with his hands clasped a lot. It’s was better than just some more script – but you’ll need to get a good artist. Don’t settle.
I’m just being honest here. The Faith tattoo is not very good. the block letter one is OK but the placement is bad it goes against any flow of the body. The Tim Burton cartoony realism is very flat. The Phoenix and the Hena mask I like. The viking portrait is real dark. That is just how I see it.
Don’t skimp on an artist your 17 it is going to on you for 60+ years.
