Hello:

Although I am not a tattoo artist, I come from a family (the Moskowitz family) of tattoo artists. My grand father was a Barber and he learned to tattoo fromt the legendary NYC Bowery Tattoo Artist Charlie Wagner in the 1930’s. Then my dad’s older brother learned to tattoo and my dad folllowed in their foot steps. Now my brother Tattoos and he is a third generation tattooer.

Any way, in the last year of my dads life, he was working on an audio book about all his experiences tattooing in the 50’s in NYC. It was a very different business. My dad passed away in 2007. I however, just finished his audio book for him. It took 4 years to put together It is incredible! My dad is just so wonderful telling his stories.

f you like tattoo history you will love this! Its like a public radio documentary but with colorful stories and no censor. It took me four years to compile. There are also some guest commentators. It is 2 audio cds ..anyway

If you want to hear a clip of this you may go to http://www.scabmerchant.com.

If you have any questions just reply and I will try to answer them.

Thank you,
Doug

This sounds awesome. I’ve always liked reading and hearing old timer’s stories. Keep us updated when the whole thing will be available.

It is actually available now. I am going to be buying some ads on this site but you can find it at http://www.scabmerchant.com.
I am too involved to be impartial but many people so far have really enjoyed it.
