I’ve been in the tattoo world as a shop manager, apprentice, and now as a tattooist. But recently i’ve hit a wall, and can’t seem to work it out on my own. So, now I’m looking for a master tattoo artist in the Los Angeles area to that would be willing to take me on as an apprentice. I know the biz, and I desperately want to get better.
Glad to see you’re willing to admit that apprenticeship is the only way forward.
Good luck with finding a mentor.
Good luck in your search for a apprenteship dude.
Thanks for keeping it on a positive note. I got two years into my first apprenticeship only to have my mentor get locked up. So its not like I don’t know what I’m doing, I’m just lacking those advanced techniques. I guess I take it more seriously than my shops owner, because he tells me just to work it out as I go. But I’d feel better doing it the right way.
