I’m Amanda (Cattiva is my stage name for burlesque, fire, and modeling). I’m 26 (nearly 27) and live in Missouri. I got my first tattoo when I was 18 and am currently working on number 6. My first one are two kittens on my left hip. The second was a Celtic style horse on my right shoulder. My third one is the polyamory symbol on the base of my neck. Fourth I got a guitar with roses/ivy on my left shoulder and musical notes (12 of them) in a rainbow pattern down and around my side. I then got the word love on my left wrist (hurt so much more than the rib cage). I am currently working on getting my lotus flowers on my right calf. There’s four of them from the calf to the shin in blue, purple, red, and orange. Instead of a black outline I’m having them done in a dark color of each of the flowers.
I also have 6 others planned. One will be a sugar skull, one will be a dolphin and phoenix in a yin yang pattern, and I’m going to get four faes in the elements (fire, earth, air, water).
I’ve also gauged my ears to 10s but any other piercing I’ve ever gotten my body has rejected (nose and navel).
I’ll keep an eye out on my computer to see if I got pics of any of my tattoos.
Here’s the ones I have pics of.

Yep. Welcome to the forum, you have nice skin and you deserve nice tattoos.
hello, yea as above and whats celtic about the horse’ ?
Actually from looking at other ports recently I do plan on getting a new artist for the rest of my tattoos once the lotus flowers are done. Somehow I feel switching artists now with that wouldn’t be the best idea.

I disagree I think you may still be able to salvage them and add some beauty to that fine canvas

Couldn’t disagree more. If you don’t switch artists now, you’ll just end up with another bad tattoo.

In this instance I am tempted to use the terminology “satin” or “silk” in lieu of “canvas”.
I can see how you had to have your shirt open showing your torso to be able to show us your first tattoo.

Actually that was the only pic I had that showed it.
So how would you go about telling the person doing the tattoo that you are going to have someone else finish it?

My first tattoos were done by four different people in the same shop. Two left, one was an apprentice that got promoted the very day my last tattoo was done.
I didn’t schedule any more time there. After several sessions with my new guy I stopped back. The shop owner (not a tattooer) was impressed. Lindsay, the girl that did my best lizard tattoo was also impressed. The recently promoted guy couldn’t handle it and walked away. (he was an apprentice for less than six months)
Anthony, (new guy) wants to talk to Lindsay about what he would like her to do to the lizard rather than him work on it alone. Lindsay and I had previously talked about a velociraptor tattoo. Anthony is suggesting a mutual project. I’m suggesting a session of talking, drinking and eating between the three of us. (I would like to see her leave the shop she’s in now)

Unless he’s your personal friend, I see no reason for you to tell him at all. Just don’t make another appointment with him. Your biggest concern, however, will be finding a proper artist that’s willing to try to salvage that thing.
