Bonjour! Welcome to the forum.
If I understand your question, you are asking whether to get a tebori tattoo or whether to get one done using a tattoo machine. I personally would go with a machine, but you may be more adventurous and brave than I am. Tebori will be much more painful, but would sure make for a better story to tell. I’ve seen one in progress and couldn’t even watch. Just the sound of it gave me the heebie jeebies. (if that last sentence didn’t translate well, it means that it made me go ewwwwww.)
